Another Mock

I thought of testing the bookmarks and the book cover on a fluorescent stock as i thought this would be a nice way of making the covers stand out and they also are very contemporary colours. I tried to use each colour which related to my chosen colours for each book.

After doing this test i found:
1. I had made a mistake by adding the same title on 2 covers!!
2. Stock was too thin, however when its taken to production i will be using heavier stock than 80gsm.
3. The patterns used for the inside of the book cover are too big and it may benefit from reducing the size.
4. I think the bookmarks looks interesting with the cut top, but i am not liking the money bag on the bookmark and cover as it could be a bag of anything! i need to look at other relations to money or use a different symbol or just adding a '£' sign would relate the symbol to money.
5. I think the spines are working well as they are simple. In the crit people said that the different type makes them not work as a set. But, i think because the layout of the design is going to be same they DO work as a set and the typefaces give each title a bit of character.
